Julie De Meulemeester was born in Vereux-les-Sablons, France, where she attended a dance school led by her mother and later worked as a teacher. Yet, Julie also wanted to work with other dance companies, get new experiences, and co-operate with different choreographers from around the world, and so she decided to attend an audition for the Ballet company of South Bohemian Theatre. She was accepted and soon appointed a soloist. During her stay at the SBT Ballet company (2014- 2018), she was nominated for the Thalia award twice. Julie De Meulemeester is currently a soloist of Stattheater Giessen, Germany (since 2018). Since 2021, she has been a permanent visiting dancer of the Prague Chamber Ballet.
