Marie Hasoňová

Marie Hasoňová is a remarkable young talent on the Czech music scene. She is studying for the master’s degree in solo performance at Hochschule für Musik Luzern, Switzerland, under Prof. Igor Karšek, a student of Yehudi Menuhin. She is a winner of the Václav Hudeček Academy and received many awards at several international competitions in the Czech Republic and abroad, which helped to improve her musical skills. As a soloist, she has performed with leading Czech orchestras (Prague Philharmonic, Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra, Brno Philharmonic, etc.). This year she is preparing her debut at the prestigious KKL Luzern concert hall, where she will perform Violin Concerto No. 2 by Bohuslav Martinů with the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester. Along with her solo career, she also concentrates on chamber music. She is a member of the Dvořák Piano Quartet, closely co-operates with violist Peter Holman of the Zemlinsky Quartet, and plays in duo with Tommaso Carlini, a young Italian pianist.
