Helena Arenbergerová

Helena-ArenbergerováShe gained the basic dance education at the ZUŠ (Basic Art School) from Nina Křížová, in amateur dance group Domino and from Jan Kodet. Movement and interpretation skills she developed gradually during work on dance-theatre projects and she is still working on herself thanks to participation on domestic and foreign workshops of present dance, improvisation, physical theatre, voice workshops, yoga and massages. She graduated from two semesters at the dance pedagogics at Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. In 2007 she completed master´s degree studies of history at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague – at the Institute of Economic and Social History. She is a certified masseuse of regeneration and sport massage. She studied the traditional Thai massage in Wat Po Chetawan Health School in Thailand .In the last years she cooperated especially with groups VERTEDANCE, 420PEOPLE, CIE.LAROQUE, Jarek Cemerek and in frame of DOT504 with choreographers Ton Lahký, Jozef Fruček and Linda Kapetanea. She danced in performances Abide with me of choreography of Akram Khana at the Opening ceremony of Olympic games in London 2012. In 2010 she participated at the 5 week research workshop DV8 Physical Theatre, led by Lloyd Newson. With Thomas Steyaert and Anna Synková she created author performance Wait, Wait, Wait. She performed in projects of W.Dorner, I.M.Popovica, J.Kodet, R.Tirpák. Helena Arenbergerová leads lecturers and workshops of present dance and contact improvisation in Czech Republic and abroad.
