He was born in Nový Bor and graduated from the Dance Conservatory in Prague. After his studies, he joined the Laterna magika ensemble as a soloist in all productions.
In the early 1990s, he co-founded (together with David Slobašpyckij) the Prague Festival Ballet Ensemble and participated in several tours abroad (USA, Portugal, China, Turkey).
He was a guest dancer in the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec (Rat Catcher of Hamelin, Romeo, and Juliet with choreography by P. Šimek) and in the ballet ensemble of the National Theatre in Prague (Mozart? Mozart! with choreography by P. Zuska).
In 2002 he was nominated for the Thálie Award for his performance in a duet Les Bras de Mer (with choreography by P. Zuska, as a part of a production titled Graffiti) and he was awarded the prize of the Czech Dance Association (Taneční sdružení ČR).
In 2010 he became the leader of Laterna magika’s artistic ensemble which was newly affiliated to the Czech National Theatre.
He also dedicates himself to costume designing and stage designing for dance and ballet productions (National Theatre in Prague, Laterna magika, Prague Chamber Ballet, National Theatre in Brno, F. X. Šalda Theatre, National Moravian-Silesian Theatre, North Bohemian Opera and Ballet Theatre in Ústí nad Labem, South Bohemian Theatre, Vienna City Ballet, Dekkadancers and Theatre Vanenuine in Tartu (Estonia).
